Channeling His Inner Eyore

Marvin had an itch.  Having neither hands nor a back scratcher, he couldn't reach his itch.  Being a very smart donkey, Marvin found his own solution - the pasture gate.  It was hard not to laugh as he rubbed his round donkey butt back and forth on the gate.  Itch relieved, Marvin just stayed where he was, butt against the gate, until one of Lois's grandsons went over to pet him and noticed that Marvin's tail was stuck in the fence.  Marvin has a pretty big butt and he must have been rubbing it hard enough to push the chain link back a couple of inches from the cross-rail.  Well, when he stopped rubbing, his tail was stuck between the fencing and the rail.  I pulled the chain link away a couple of inches but Marvin was apparently in no mood to move.  If I used a hand to push him forward, I lost hold of the chain link.  In the end, it took two of us to extricate Marvin from the gate - me to hold the fence, Charla to push Marvin.  Once freed, this wonderful and very amusing creature simply looked at us as if we had made a big deal of nothing and slowly walked away.  Maybe he was dreaming of Winnie the Pooh last night.
